Uncle Ho and Saigon!

On a recent trip to Vietnam, I came across the majestic City Hall and this awesome statue of Uncle Ho. As I was trying to capture how best to present this majestic City Hall in Saigon, I came across a warning sign that tourists are not allowed to take closer photographs of the City Hall, perhaps for security reasons. This photo alone is best to describe how Uncle Ho dream for a modern Saigon.

LegCo Building

The LegCo Building in downtown Hong Kong is an impressive 1843 building which used to house the Supreme Court as well as the Legislative Council from the time it was created through the Victoria Patent and until 2011. The building is an impressive architectural wonder that graces the Hong Kong skyline. It is one of the best Victorian era structure that still stands in Hong Kong. This very architectural wonder is protected by Hong Kong's law on heritages sites and conservation societies.

Angkor Wat: beauty and love

On the road in Angkor Wat, I saw scenes I would keep repeating on my mind and those scenes were of these two couple so in love as they walked through the temples after catching the sunrise and of a family who went on a journey together. I will always agree with those who are in love on the road: that we find those whom we get inspired so much in the days we are walking through with life. We find love and sustained it and finding the answers together is just as fulfilling as the journey itself.

Inspiring Journeys rewards those who share

One of the many reasons why we travel is an inspiration to those who follow us and as I kept tabs on places that inspired me, I would like to share with you this photo I took in Lake Apo in Bukidnon. The reasons why I travel and seek inspiration varies from place to place and the many awesome experiences I gained.

It is by these that I offered my dose of travel quotations in which I enthused: "Through each journey, I gained life!". I hope you will have the same opportunity to see where I have seen and appreciate life the most.

Puerta del Parian

Walking up to Intramuros, the old Walled City of Manila leads you to a place we call Puerta del Parian, an old market where locals trade with Chinese traders and during the Spanish era in the Philippines, played a crucial role in the greater Intramuros.

This photo is taken on my recent jaunt to Intramuros and my self-made quote was attached to this photo to make it what I wanted it to be and share those to you.

The pensive Monks of Phnom Penh

Monks, as they say are always reflective and true to their spirituality that I admired them from where I stood at the Royal Palace in Phnom Penh. Seeing them on my first day in Cambodia is a breather from the six-hour bus ride from Saigon. I have found my heart at peace when I understand their robes and the color they wear for it symbolizes far greater than I ever could have imagined.

Sunrise at Angkor Wat

December is a month memorable to me as I went on my solo backpacking trip to find my way back to sanity. I choose my Christmas break to travel to Cambodia and experience the best perfect sunrise I could see in my midst and before my very eyes, I see beauty unparalleled.

These photos are one of those few snapshots I took for my travel blog Journeys and Travels and one of those key highlights of my trip to Angkor Wat.

Share to me what is your best sunrise and perhaps, insights too on how our sunrises change us into a better person!
